Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Focus on What Is Right

Winning with Yeshua Livestream · Tuesday, July 7, 2026

When you want to achieve something important in life, you must learn how to focus. Whether your goal this year is to build a house, buy a home, start a project, grow a business, strengthen your marriage, improve your family life, or deepen your walk with God, you must decide what your priority is.

Focus Requires Discipline

If you want to save money for a mortgage or a major project, there are things you may need to set aside. You may need to reduce unnecessary spending. You may need to forgo certain pleasures. You may need to plan better and make wise sacrifices.

Why? Because you have already decided that the goal matters.

Without discipline, goals become wishes.Without focus, plans become distractions.Without proper priorities, the year can pass and nothing meaningful will be achieved.

Train Your Mind to Focus on What Is Right

Philippians 4:8 teaches us that the mind must be trained to focus on what is right. Your mind follows what you give attention to. When you focus on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report, your life begins to move in the direction of wisdom.

  • Focus on things that bring value.
  • Focus on things that bring growth.
  • Focus on things that bring peace.
  • Focus on things that bring transformation.
  • Focus on things that build your life, your family, your business, your marriage, your children, and your relationship with God.

Remove Your Focus from Distractions

Remove your focus from things that destroy your mind. Remove your focus from negative conversations, toxic friendships, unnecessary battles, and people’s drama that God did not assign to you.

Many people inherit battles that are not theirs. They begin to hate people because of what they heard. They fight because their friend is fighting. They carry bitterness because someone else told them a story.

That is not wisdom. That is misplaced focus.

Know Who You Are

When you know who you are, you will not respond to every insult. You will not reduce yourself to every argument. You will not allow people’s negativity to pull you down.

An eagle does not belong among vultures. If an eagle begins to eat with vultures, it is because the eagle has forgotten its identity.

  • Focus on integrity.
  • Focus on maturity.
  • Focus on wisdom.
  • Focus on understanding.
  • Focus on growth.
  • Focus on mental renewal.
  • Focus on becoming better.

Do not talk just because everyone is talking. Do not fight just because everyone is fighting. Do not follow the crowd when the crowd is going nowhere.

Questions for Reflection

  • What can I do to better my life?
  • What can I do to help my children walk in the right path?
  • What can I do to make my spouse happy?
  • What can I do to serve God in spirit and in truth?
  • What can I do to become successful in business?
  • What can I do to walk in financial freedom?
  • What can I do today so that I do not retire into misery tomorrow?

Focus on What Is Right

If you are a mother, focus. If you are a father, focus. If you are married, focus. If you are single, focus. If you are raising children, focus. If you are building a business, focus. If you are serving God, focus.

Life is too precious to waste on confusion, bitterness, gossip, and unnecessary battles.

Prayer

A Prayer to Focus on What Is Right

Lord, help me to focus on what is right.

  • Help me to focus on my family.
  • Help me to focus on my purpose.
  • Help me to focus on my growth.
  • Help me to focus on wisdom.
  • Help me to focus on peace.
  • Help me to focus on the things that bring blessing, transformation, and elevation.

In Jesus’ name I pray, that this word may take root in my heart and bear fruit in every area of my life.

Amen.

Declaration

I Choose to Focus on What Is Right

I will not give my mind to negativity.

I will not inherit battles that are not mine.

I will not allow distraction to steal my destiny.

I choose to think on what is true, what is honest, what is just, what is pure, what is lovely, and what is of good report.

I choose to focus on what is right.
