Waiting on a God-Sent Spouse
Genesis 2:18 · Proverbs 18:22
Consider a two-day fast once a quarter, with a personal night of prayer on the first evening. Ask God to prepare you as much as you ask Him to send someone.
Preparation
- Father, make me ready to be a godly husband or wife before I meet one.
- Heal every wound from past relationships that would hinder a healthy marriage.
- I renounce every unhealthy soul tie from past relationships, in Jesus' name.
Breaking Delay
- Every yoke working against marriage in my life, break, in Jesus' name.
- Lord, arrest every delay that has gone on too long.
- I cancel every word spoken over me that I will never marry.
- Lord, answer me by fire concerning my marital destiny.
Divine Connection
- Father, lead me to the person You prepared for me, and lead them to me.
- Give me discernment to recognize Your choice and walk away from counterfeits.
- Let favor go before me everywhere my spouse may be found.
- Lord, let our union be a threefold cord with You at the center (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
- I will not settle for less than Your best for my life.
